COVID-19 Info

We hope that the IMC 2022 in Hungary can take place as planned, on September 29 – October 2, though this of course depends on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic and related policies. Please bring your vaccination certificate with you.
We encourage people to register for the conference. The following guarantees may be of help:

  1. In case the IMC 2022 is canceled due to COVID-19, all participants will get a total refund.
  2. If travel between a participant’s country and Hungary is not allowed at the time of the IMC, the participant will get a total refund.

It is the participant's responsibility to comply with all health regulations of the Hungarian authorities, particularly those pertaining to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Weather

The weather at the end of September is supposed to be mild with max. 20-25°C temperature daytime, 10-15°C nighttime and low probability of rain.

Mosquitos

Mosquitos might be present, thus you might bring some spray against them!

Visas

If you need a visa to travel to Hungary, it is your responsibility entirely to apply for it in due course so that it will be delivered to you in time.

In case you need an invitation letter for a visa, please provide your legal private domicile or professional address, passport number and the address of the consulate in Hungary where your visa application will be submitted. Notice that the LOC reserves the right to refuse issuing an invitation letter if there is doubt w.r.t. to the purpose of your visit.

Currency

The local currency of Hungary is forint, euro is not accepted. You can exchange foreign currencies to forint in the main cities. Of course, you can also use your credit card. You can find more information on how to pay here.
