How to get to Poroszló

The conference site can be reached by 1.5-2 hours driving from Budapest.

  • By plane: from Budapest (BUD) Liszt Ferenc International Airport. By plane: from Budapest (BUD) Liszt Ferenc International Airport. From there the local organizers arrange 2 shuttle services around noon and late afternoon of the first day. There is a train access possibility from Budapest to Poroszló (see below) – however it is recommended to use the shuttle service provided by the LOC for 45€ (see registration form) from the airport.

    Participants who have ordered the shuttle will receive detailed information and their pick-up time via a personal email about three days before the start of the conference.
  • By car: this is the ideal method to come to the site and requires a 1.5/2 hours drive from Budapest (mainly on the M3 highway, which requires a highway access ticket of 12€). The travel time from some main cities by car are the following: Bratislava 3.5 hours, Prague 7 hours, Berlin 12 hours.
  • Train: from Keleti pályaudvar, e.g. the East railway station trains run around every 3 hours, the trip takes around 3 hours, but requires 3 changes (usually at Hatvan and Fuzesabony). For a timetable please visit: www.mavcsoport.hu
